Emily Heller

Emily Heller likes you, kind of a lot, even if her face tells a different story. She is fast becoming a favorite of fans, critics, and comics alike. Nationally, she was named one of Comedy Central’s Comics to Watch (2011) and won Rooftop Comedy’s Silver Nail Award for up-and-coming stand ups (2011). In San Francisco, she was named one of the “7 Funniest People in Town” by 7×7 Magazine. Praised in the San Francisco comedy scene for what her contemporaries call her “self-deprecating feminist slob poetry,” Emily now lives in New York City and performs stand-up all over the country. She is the co-producer of the popular showcase Girl Talk at the San Francisco Punch Line. She has performed at San Francisco Sketchfest (2009, 2010, & 2011), the Laughing Skull Festival in Atlanta, and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland (2010 & 2011), where the Portland Mercury identified her as a highlight. When she lived in San Francisco, Emily co-hosted the #1 fccfreeradio.com show Slumming It, contributed regularly to Life&Style Magazine, published her own zines, and Photoshopped her head onto celebrities’ bodies. Now, she just does the Photoshop thing.
