Mike Burns is a Los Angeles comedian, writer, and actor via New York via Chicago via born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan.

Mike has written and performed at venues such as Second City Chicago, iO, Upright Citizens Brigade, and The Chicago Sketch Festival. Mike is also the creator of the cult hit twitter feed, @DadBoner where he ghost narrates the life of Karl Welzein from a first person perspective. Karl’s a despondent American post-marriage Midwestern persona from Grand Blanc, Michigan who loves beer and pizza, going to the bar with his roommate Dave, and is forever “really lookin’ forward to the weekend, you guys.” Karl wants something bigger and better for himself, but the sad truth is that no matter how hard he tries, his tendencies towards excessive drinking, fast food binges, and endless mistakes just add up to a hilarious novelistic adventure for people to watch unfold through the looking glass.

Mike’s been regaled as a “literary genius” by The Huffington Post and can be seen performing comedy regularly at venues throughout Los Angeles.

Burns also does fashion consulting, styling, and other crap like that. He loves Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bob Seger, Ric Flair, and 70′s-80′s muscle cars that he can’t afford. He’d like you to buy him a cold beer. Nothin’ fancy, just whatever’s on special is fine.

“@Dadboner is a work of timeless enius.” – Anthony Bourdain
