Oscar Nunez

My parents put me up for adoption before I was conceived. I was born to foster parents in Cuba and promptly sent to America to train in the comedy gymtoriums of New Jersey. I learned things and ate food, all the while growing. Then I joined The Shock of the Funny improv troupe in New York City. We performed in the East Village for several years. I took classes and did theatre in N.Y.C. and Washington, D.C. In the mid-’90s, I moved to L.A., joined the Groundlings and performed in their Sunday Company. I’ve done some TV (“24,” ”Curb Your Enthusiasm,” ”Reno 911,” ”Mad TV,” “Malcolm in the Middle”) and some movies (“The Proposal,” ”Beethoven’s Big Break,” ”The Italian Job,” ”When Do We Eat?”). I created and starred in a Comedy Central series (“Halfway Home”). I also currently play Oscar on NBC’s ”The Office.” This led to a 2007 and 2008 Screen Actors Guild Award (for Best Comedy Ensemble), a 2007 Emmy (for Best Webisode Series) and a 2009 Alma Award (for Best TV Comedy Actor) given to me by my peers and celebrating my greatness.
